We walked at night among the tombs that protrude like teardrop-lumps on the shaven hillsides. The moon was almost full, beaming through the trees new with little leaves. Scott saw a little frog cross our path. We couldn't help ourselves and chased it and felt for a moment its full, leathery body. The little roped-off family farms on the hill looked tended and excited for their use after a long winter. Later on the trail we heard and then spotted another frog, this one much smaller. The night was so quiet and expansive that we could hear the creatures travelling in the night. We crept along with them.
